Working closely with ATL agency Conill, we were set the task of developing digital ideas that would counter the negative effects of commuting, particularly the loss of personal time. This was to coincide with the launch of the 2012 Toyota Camry. Billed as the car ‘For a Better Commute’, it was essential for the activity to focus on the benefits of owning the new Camry.
Through research we discovered the average amount of time spent in congestion by citizens in LA. So, we devised a way to turn this negative into a positive.
Camry Commute is a mobile app which allows users to record their daily commute. The distance is converted into points which can then be redeemed against sweeps and prizes. The app is integrated with Facebook, so that users can share progress and communicate with fellow drivers.
